Hello readers. This week for R.E we did some Tridium art panels. I first did my daft and then my good copy then I water couriered them in. But I didn’t like them so I decided to redo them all. I asked my teacher if I could take them home and she said yes. So I am working on them at home. I like the new one’s a lot better. I love art so much and it makes me really relax and happy and it helps me with my mental health. I hope we do some more art soon. What’s your favourite subject? Hope you read my next blog, see you next time bye!

Hamish Kerr
This week Hamish Kerr (the Olympic gold meatless) came to talk to us. He told us how he got into jumping and hie experience. I loved the bit when he told us about all the Olympic villages. I mean how cool should it be to have every fast food restraint you could think of and be able to eat them all for free!! In my dreams. Have you ever met a famous Olympian?
My jam-packed day
This morning St Francis of Assisi school, had a Matariki breakfast. It had sausages, pancakes and even Milo.It was awesome. I had a sausage and Milo. They were delicious. We also had a showcase to show our work over the week. My Dad took a look at my work and he also came to the Matarki breakfast. As a bonus we got to have a non-school uniform and had a whole school Mass. Pretty cool right?
Have you ever had a jam-packed day like mine?
The NZ opera
This week, we had the New Zealand Opera come and perform at our school, They performed The Elixir of Love. An original Italian wrote it.
Something that I enjoyed about this performance was the set because it had multiple purposes and sides.
Something that I found interesting about this performance was the props because some of them were real and some of them were hand made. The hand made one’s were really well done.
Something that I learned about opera is that a lot of opera was made in Italy.
Have you ever been to an Opera?
Impact target
My blogpost today is about my fact file target this week at school we had to do a fact file target one for a family members one for a school person one for a famous new Zealander and one for a worldwide person. The reason we did this is because we are learning in PBL about how to make a positive impact on other people’s lives so these people have made positive impacts on other people’s lives including us. This is my target .link I hope you enjoyed it my question for you is who has made a Positive Impact on your life?
Andrew Chinn
This week, we had Andrew Chinn come to our school to perform.
On Thursday February 2024 , Andrew Chinn came to our school to perform. A.C. is an australian musician that performs christian songs. He helps kids understand more about Jesus/God.
Something that I liked the most about this performance was that the audience got to participate throughout the performance (Including me) and that A.C.
Was very entertaining.
Something that I learned from this was a song called the rainbow song. I also learned that A.C. is very funny and could have a laugh when it was needed. He also told us about his experience with five year olds ahh.
Have you ever had a famous person come to your school and if so who were they to you?

Cybersmart Social Media
Last week in Cybersmart we were learning about Social Media. We investigated lots of different social media apps and what the privacy, age and rules are of each one. We had to complete a table about this.
We then had to create our own social media app, we designed a logo and made screenshots of what the app would look like.
My app is called YNI, my app is about if you ask a question you get yes no answers of if you want an information answer you can get one.
Have you ever created an app before?
Science Roadshow
Yesterday we had a visit from the Science Roadshow. The focus of the session was Sound Waves.
Some of the main messages about Sound Waves were that it’s higher when it’s closer together and lower when it’s further. Something I enjoyed the most was the fidget that you could make because you got to take something home.
My favourite part of the Science Roadshow was the fire part of the show because it was really cool when the fire went up and down.
Something I will take away from this visit was there the fidget maker because it was really fun to play with.
Do you like fidgets?
